1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions govern the participation in the experiences offered by Lokalia, including cooking lessons and wine tastings conducted at a private residence. By booking and participating, you agree to the terms below.

Lokalia is a brand name used for promotional purposes. The business is legally represented by Odysseas Spyroglou, registered in Greece.

2. Eligibility & Participant Requirements

• Minimum age: 15 years old. This experience is not suitable for children under 15.
• Not suitable for:
• Wheelchair users
• Individuals with animal allergies (pets may be present on the premises)
• Individuals with severe food allergies or intolerances

Participation is at the discretion of the host, and anyone deemed unfit (e.g., under the influence of excessive alcohol or violating house rules) may be refused entry or asked to leave without refund.

3. Booking & Payments

• Bookings can be made via GetYourGuide, Viator, or directly through our website.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking.
• Accepted payment methods include major credit/debit cards and other options as provided by our booking platforms.
• Prices include VAT and are subject to change without prior notice.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the start time.
• No refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event or for no-shows.
• Lokalia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, illness). In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
• Lokalia is not responsible for any losses you incur as a result of supplying us with incorrect contact details (e.g. e-mail address or mobile number).

5. Health, Safety & Liability Disclaimer

This is a hands-on cooking and wine tasting experience. While every reasonable precaution is taken, participation involves inherent risks.

By booking, you acknowledge:

• You are in good health and voluntarily assume all risks related to:
• Exposure to food allergens
• Potential minor injuries (e.g., burns, cuts)
• Alcohol consumption
• You are responsible for your own conduct and safety.
• The hosts accept no liability for any accidents, allergic reactions, or health issues arising from negligence or failure to disclose relevant information.

6. Conduct & House Rules

• Please respect the host’s home and other guests.
• Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal without refund.
• Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
• Alcohol is served in moderation. Guests who appear intoxicated may be refused further service.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

• Personal data collected during the booking process (name, email, dietary preferences, etc.) is used strictly for operational and communication purposes.
• We do not share your data with third parties except where required to process your booking (e.g., GetYourGuide or Viator systems).
• Your data is stored securely and in compliance with applicable EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Our website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and collect analytics data. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Intellectual Property

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any disputes arising from participation in Lokalia experiences shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Lokalia is the commercial name of this experience, operated and legally represented by Odysseas Spyroglou.

PERSONAL DATA

Data We Collect

Online reservation procedure

Guests of third party websites are asked to give personal data in order to complete their online reservations. The data they are asked to give are upon the administrator – controller of the system.

Data given automatically

There are many instances that we get data automatically. Such data are: IP address, type of device, location, date and time of accessing our system, pages that are visited and clicked, from which website someone came to our system, browser that is used, software that is used in the device or computer.

Data given from other sources

Our booking engines are integrated with other websites (online wholesalers, Online Travel Agents, etc) who are giving data about completed reservations. The data are used from controllers (administrators) for managing purposes.

Data we share with others

We share the above personal data with third party systems for basic purposes of completing an online reservation. For example, we use a third party mail provider for security reasons (to avoid emails going to spam). Our systems are cloud and we use hosting services of Amazon.com (https://aws.amazon.com/security/) . In addition in some instances we share data with third party systems for managing or accounting purposes of the controller (administrator). Also we share data with banks and online payment gateways for successful secure transactions.
